
BetterLife Welcomes Three New Directors to the Board
BetterLife and its members have elected three new directors to the Board: Russell Denk, Bradley Bodell, and Daniel Biank. All three individuals will serve two-year terms.
Russell Denk is a recent retiree of a lifelong career in the insurance industry. He has almost 30 years of experience serving insurers as a CPA, along with past roles as president of a property/casualty insurance company and executive director of a member benefits organization. Russ has served in leadership roles and on the board of directors in a number of professional associations and nonprofit community organizations. Russ’ designations include CPA, CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), and Series 7, 24, and 63 investment licenses. He is passionate about serving his community, making the world a better place, and learning every opportunity he gets.
Bradley Bodell brings over 25 years of expertise in driving technology transformation for the insurance industry. Prior to his current position leading Ryan Specialty’s technology teams, Brad was the Chief Information Officer at both Trustmark Insurance and CNO Financial Group and worked in software engineering and business operations roles at MetLife. In addition to his impressive career, Brad has served on the boards of two nonprofit organizations. He earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering as well as his master's degree in management. He and his wife, Katie, are parents to two adult boys.
Daniel Biank is currently the Vice President of Regulatory & Government Affairs for Accuray, a company “committed to expanding the powerful potential of radiation therapy to improve as many lives as possible.” He has over twenty years of engineering and leadership experience in the healthcare realm. He has also spent a portion of his career practicing law, where he advised inventors, investors, and companies in launching new medical technologies. Daniel has earned several degrees, including Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Engineering (MEng), and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He is a licensed attorney and Professional Engineer. Daniel enjoys serving in his community and church with his wife and seven children.
